Caster Content Moderation Policy and Procedures
Overview
Caster is committed to maintaining a safe, lawful, and respectful platform environment. Caster is a Safe For Work (SFW) platform and prohibits content that is not appropriate for viewing in a workplace, classroom, or public setting. Caster also prohibits illegal, exploitative, non-consensual, or otherwise prohibited content and reserves the right to remove content or terminate accounts that violate platform policies, applicable laws, or payment processor requirements.
Caster maintains community guidelines, creator verification procedures, complaint reporting systems, and moderation practices designed to promote platform safety and compliance.
Caster utilizes human moderators to review live streams, private streams, reported content, and account activity to help ensure compliance with platform policies, applicable laws, and payment processor requirements. Moderation review may occur in real time or after content has been transmitted or reported.
1. Prohibited Content
The following content and conduct are strictly prohibited on Caster:
- Explicit visual nudity or explicit sexual acts
- Sexually suggestive or sexually explicit content that is not Safe For Work
- Any depiction or exploitation of minors
- Non-consensual content or recordings
- Human trafficking, coercion, or exploitation
- Bestiality or animal-related sexual content
- Extreme violence or graphic gore
- Threats, harassment, stalking, or doxing
- Illegal activity or promotion of illegal activity
- Fraud, impersonation, or deceptive conduct
- Content that violates intellectual property rights
- Content prohibited by payment processors, app stores, or applicable law
Caster reserves the right to remove content, suspend features, restrict accounts, or permanently terminate users who violate these policies.
2. Creator Verification
All Creators must complete identity and age verification before monetization features are enabled.
Verification may include:
- Submission of valid government-issued identification
- Age verification confirming the Creator is at least 18 years old
- Confirmation that the account owner matches submitted identification
- Acceptance of Caster’s Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and Privacy Policy
Caster may deny or revoke Creator access at its discretion if verification cannot be completed or if fraudulent information is suspected.
3. Consent Requirements
All individuals appearing in Creator content must be consenting adults.
Creators are solely responsible for ensuring that:
- All participants are at least 18 years old
- All participants have provided consent
- No prohibited or unlawful content is created or distributed through the platform
Caster reserves the right to request additional verification or documentation where necessary.
4. Content Review and Enforcement
Caster may review content, profiles, live streams, private streams, reports, complaints, and account activity to enforce platform policies and maintain compliance with applicable laws and processor requirements.
Caster utilizes human moderators to monitor and review live and private streaming activity to help ensure that platform guidelines and applicable policies are being followed.
Moderation actions may include:
- Content removal
- Warning notices
- Temporary suspension
- Permanent account termination
- Restriction of platform features
Caster may investigate reported violations and take action at its sole discretion.
5. Content Removal Policy
Caster is a Safe For Work (SFW) platform. Content that is not appropriate for viewing in a workplace, classroom, or public setting may be removed.
Caster may remove content if it violates this policy, the Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, applicable law, payment processor requirements, or app store policies.
Content may be removed as a result of proactive moderation, automated detection, user reports, or internal review.
Examples of content that may be removed include, but are not limited to:
- Sexually explicit, nude, or sexually suggestive content
- Content promoting illegal, dangerous, or fraudulent activity
- Harassment, hate speech, threats, or bullying
- Graphic violence or disturbing content
- Spam, scams, impersonation, or deceptive practices
- Content that infringes intellectual property rights
- Any content that Caster determines is inconsistent with maintaining a Safe For Work platform
Depending on the severity or frequency of violations, Caster may remove individual content, temporarily restrict platform features, suspend accounts, or permanently terminate accounts without prior notice.
Where appropriate, users may be notified of moderation actions. However, Caster reserves the right to remove content immediately when necessary to protect users, maintain platform integrity, or comply with legal, regulatory, payment processor, or app store requirements.
6. Reporting Violations
Users may report content or accounts that may violate platform rules or applicable law.
Reports may be submitted through:
- Platform reporting tools
- Email support channels
- Customer support communications
Caster reviews reports and takes appropriate action where warranted.
7. Cooperation With Law Enforcement
Caster maintains a zero-tolerance policy for child exploitation, trafficking, coercion, or other unlawful conduct.
Caster may cooperate with law enforcement, regulatory authorities, payment processors, and legal counsel where required by law or where necessary to protect platform safety and compliance.
8. Intellectual Property and DMCA Compliance
Caster respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
Users who believe their copyrighted material has been improperly used may submit a DMCA notice to Caster’s designated copyright agent.
Repeat copyright infringers may have their accounts terminated.
9. Record Retention
Caster maintains records related to Creator verification, moderation actions, and legal compliance as required by applicable law and business operations.
Records are securely stored and access is limited to authorized personnel.
10. Policy Updates
Caster reserves the right to modify or update this policy at any time to address legal, regulatory, operational, or platform safety requirements.
Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any updated policies.
